The highlight for survival horror fans were multiple Resident Evil updates, including Resident Evil Village Gold Edition and Winters’ Expansion, a sneak peek at the reimagining of Resident Evil 4, and releases of three enhanced Resident Evil titles, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 & Resident Evil 7, on PS5 & Xbox Series X|S with 4K resolution, ray tracing, high frame rate, and 3D audio, with DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support also available on PS5.

We got a first glimpse of long-awaited Resident Evil Village DLC. The Winters’ Expansion arrives Oct. 28, 2022, new content includes Third-Person Mode, The Mercenaries Additional Orders featuring new stages, playable characters Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, Lady Dimitrescu; and continuation of the story in Shadows of Rose. Set 16yrs after events of Resident Evil Village, the tale follows Rose Winters struggling with terrifying powers. Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, a bundle of the Winters’ Expansion and main game launches Oct. 28, 2022 in physical & digital formats for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation4, Xbox One, Steam, and Stadia. Resident Evil Re:Verse, a multiplayer experience which will be free for Resident Evil Village players, will also go live.

Resident Evil 4 Director Yasuhiro Ampo and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi discussed the reimagining of the 2005 classic. The development team aims to dial up the original release’s key feelings of loneliness and the fear of enemies blinded by zealotry; when the title reawakens March 24, 2023.
